Meet Bugsy!
Breed: Shar-Pei Mix
Age: 2 Years
Weight: 43 lbs
Bugsy is a 2-year-old Shar-Pei mix who has mastered the art of being a couch potato! This handsome boy would much rather spend his days relaxing inside with his favorite people, toy, or bone than running around the yard. Give him a cozy spot next to you and something to chew on, and Bugsy is one happy guy!
Bugsy can be a little nervous around female dogs, but what he really wants is to be right by his people. He prefers being close to his humans and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a laid-back pup to keep them company.
If your idea of the perfect day is lounging on the couch with a favorite toy or bone by your side, Bugsy might just be your perfect match!
Health: Bugsy is up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
Adoption Fee: Bugsy's adoption fee is just $80, not including applicable licensing fees.
Contact Us: If you're interested in meeting Bugsy, please contact the New Albany Animal Shelter at 812-948-5355 to schedule a meet-and-greet.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The Shar Pei is a distinctive breed known for their deep wrinkles and blue black tongue. Originally from China, these medium sized dogs are loyal, independent, and protective of their families. Shar Peis have a unique appearance with a hippopotamus like face and a broad, padded muzzle. Their coat can be either horse coat or brush coat, coming in a variety of colors. While they can be aloof with strangers, Shar Peis are devoted companions with a calm demeanor, making them wonderful family pets.
