Just like the flower she's named after, Petunia is a sweet girl who's ready to bloom in the right home. This 2-year-old Shar-Pei came to our shelter after being transferred from another facility, and her adorable wrinkles and gentle personality make her truly one of a kind.
Petunia can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but with a little patience and kindness she starts to blossom. Once she feels comfortable, she enjoys being near her people and soaking up the love and attention.

ABOUT: SHAR PEI DOG BREED
The Shar Pei is a distinctive breed known for their deep wrinkles and blue black tongue. Originally from China, these medium sized dogs are loyal, independent, and protective of their families. Shar Peis have a unique appearance with a hippopotamus like face and a broad, padded muzzle. Their coat can be either horse coat or brush coat, coming in a variety of colors. While they can be aloof with strangers, Shar Peis are devoted companions with a calm demeanor, making them wonderful family pets.
