Pepe - Shar Pei and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Goleta, California

Hello! My name is Pepe and I'm a 1 year old male Chinese Shar Pei/Mixed Breed available for adoption at Santa Barbara Humane's Santa Barbara Campus!

Like all animals at Santa Barbara Humane, before going home I will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped . My adoption also includes a complimentary post-adoption health exam with a participating local veterinary clinic as well as a supply of Hill's Science Diet food to help make my first few days at home a little easier.

If you're ready to welcome me or another animal into your family, stop by during adoption hours-daily from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., except Wednesdays. No appointment or advance notice is required!

Need to pick up a few essentials before heading home? Visit the retail center at either Santa Barbara Humane campus, where you'll find toys, treats, collars, leashes, and more at competitive prices. Every purchase helps support the animals in our care and the programs that serve pets and people throughout our community.

The Shar Pei is a distinctive breed known for their deep wrinkles and blue black tongue. Originally from China, these medium sized dogs are loyal, independent, and protective of their families. Shar Peis have a unique appearance with a hippopotamus like face and a broad, padded muzzle. Their coat can be either horse coat or brush coat, coming in a variety of colors. While they can be aloof with strangers, Shar Peis are devoted companions with a calm demeanor, making them wonderful family pets.
