Bio:
The "cheese litter" has arrived in the Dairy State - exactly where they are meant to be.
If you love Velveeta cheese because it melts well and blends in with everything, that is our girl to a T. She was the hardest to get pictures of because she was always right up in her foster mom's lap, chasing after the bigger dogs in the house, or napping. She is the perfect balance - she is a little like Velcro when it comes to wanting to be near her people, but also is the most outgoing of the sisters in her foster home. She is working on mastering all of those puppy behaviors now so she can impress her future fam. Kids, dogs, cats, - she's meeting all of them to be her best self.
Like her siblings, Velveeta will need an experienced home ready to guide her with structure, training, and consistency as she grows.
She and her siblings are not quite ready to go home yet, but they can be adopted now and held for two weeks until they’re ready to make the move.
Important Details:
They are currently 6 weeks old and will NOT go home until 8 weeks old
. We are accepting applications now so we can find the perfect match ahead of time.
DNA results are posted for full transparency. Babies were bottle fed early on when mom was found deceased (likely due to poisoning).
Please read before applying: Because of the top two breeds (Sharpei & Cattle Dog), we are being very intentional with placement:
- No rentals
-Homes with children must have prior experience with herding breeds.
The ideal home: This pup will need a home that understands both breeds:
Cattle Dog side: Active, structured, and committed to training and mental stimulation. These dogs thrive when they have a “job” and consistent guidance.
Sharpei side: Loyal, independent, and naturally more reserved. Sharpeis tend to be protective of their people and can be wary of strangers, so early socialization and confident leadership are key. They do best in homes that respect their space, understand their boundaries, and provide calm, consistent structure.
Our Pack Animal Rescue, Inc. Is an all foster based 501c3 rescue. License #487823.
Meet and greets are arranged after an application has been approved.
An approved application does not mean you must adopt the dog of interest, if it isn't a good fit.
