Bio:
Gouda
From the very beginning, Gouda has been a fighter. Found as a tiny bottle baby after his mom was tragically lost, he and his 8 siblings beat the odds with round-the-clock care, full bellies, and a whole lot of love. Now, this resilient little Sharpei/Cattle Dog mix has made his way to Wisconsin and is ready to start the search for his forever home.
Gouda is the independent spirit of the bunch. While his siblings are busy in the middle of the chaos, he’s the one wandering off to explore, do his own thing, and check out the world on his terms. Curious, thoughtful, and just a little bit stubborn (in the best way), Gouda is going to thrive with an experienced owner who understands working breeds and will help guide him as he grows.
He’s still just a baby, learning all the important puppy things, so he’ll need patience, structure, and continued training to become the amazing dog he’s meant to be. With the right home, Gouda will grow into a loyal, smart, and one-of-a-kind companion.
Gouda and his siblings are not quite ready to head home just yet, but they can be adopted now and held for two weeks until they’re ready to make the big move.
If you’re looking for a pup with personality, resilience, and a little independent streak, Gouda might just be your perfect match.

âš ï ̧ Please read before applying: Because of the top two breeds (Sharpei & Cattle Dog), we are being very intentional with placement:
- No rentals
-Homes with children must have prior experience with herding breeds.
The ideal home: This pup will need a home that understands both breeds:
Cattle Dog side: Active, structured, and committed to training and mental stimulation. These dogs thrive when they have a “job” and consistent guidance.
Sharpei side: Loyal, independent, and naturally more reserved. Sharpeis tend to be protective of their people and can be wary of strangers, so early socialization and confident leadership are key. They do best in homes that respect their space, understand their boundaries, and provide calm, consistent structure.
