Meet Benjie - A Happy, Playful Pup Who Loves Everyone He Meets

Benjie is an adorable 1-year-old Mini Schnauzer weighing 14.6 pounds, and he's as lovable as they come! This sweet boy hasn't met a stranger-he adores both people and other dogs and is always ready to make a new friend.

Benjie is full of playful energy and absolutely loves his toys, especially when he has a chance to chew and keep himself entertained. Because he enjoys chewing so much, he does best with supervision to help keep him focused on his approved toys like antlers and empty marrow bones. He's a fun-loving little guy who will happily keep you smiling with his playful personality.

He walks beautifully on leash and enjoys getting out for adventures. At home, Benjie has great manners-he is crate trained when left alone and sleeps soundly in his own bed through the night for at least 8 hours.

Benjie is also potty trained and does a great job communicating his needs. He'll let you know when it's time to go out by following you or even giving a little jump for attention, and if you ask, he'll head right to the door. He thrives on a consistent routine and does especially well when taken out first thing in the morning and shortly after meals.

While Benjie is a confident and social boy, he will do best in a home that can provide structure, supervision, and lots of love as he continues to thrive in his foster environment.

With his affectionate nature, playful spirit, and excellent manners, Benjie is ready to bring so much joy to his forever family.

Could Benjie be your perfect match?

Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!
