🌟 Meet Carson — Ready for the Good Life!

Carson is a 15‑pound love bug who was found as a stray and has spent the last month settling beautifully into his foster home. He’s now fully vetted, heartworm negative, neutered, microchipped and officially ready to meet his forever family.

- Breed: Schnauzer x Scottish Terrier mix (best guess)
- Age: About 1 year old
- Weight: 15 lbs
- Personality: Sweet, affectionate, curious, and a little bit regal

Carson has been doing wonderfully with his house training. As long as he’s taken out regularly and kept on a schedule, he does his business outside like a champ. He’s learning to walk nicely on a leash and loves exploring the world — those adorable radar ears don’t miss a thing.

🏡 In the Home
Carson is an appropriate barker (new people at the door, unusual noises) but is otherwise a pretty quiet little guy. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home, though he definitely carries himself like the king of the castle.

At night, he sleeps quietly in his foster’s bed and doesn’t make a peep. He loves being carried, giving kisses, and soaking up human attention. While he enjoys the company of other dogs, he doesn’t need them — he’d be perfectly happy in a home with or without canine siblings.

He hasn’t been crated in his foster home, but based on his temperament, he would likely do just fine with crate training if needed.

🚐 Location & Transport
Carson is currently in Houston, Texas, and is available for transport to approved adopters.

NOTE: THIS IS AN "OUT OF TOWN PET" - that means Carson is not at this location but we do have transport here - more about transport below. Our Rescue is Houston based (https://www.facebook.com/TwilightTailsRescue) and all our fosters and Rescue Ranch are in and around Houston.

Currently he's being fostered near Houston, TX but can be brought close to your home on rescue transport which comes through your area once a month. Transport info below.

Adoption fee is $425 plus $30 for a health certificate and $250 for transport.

Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on-time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport.
