DESCRIPTION
At just 1 year old, this handsome Schnauzer mix made his way to us all the way from Georgia. As for what he’s mixed with? That’s still up to the detectives to figure out! Whether it’s a stolen treat or a stolen heart, McGruff is always on the case.
Before coming to us, McGruff was cat-tested and showed no issues beyond typical puppy curiosity. A dog-savvy cat would be the best match for him.
When meeting new canine friends, McGruff can be a little forward at first, but he responds well to corrections and adjusts nicely with proper introductions.
McGruff would do great in a home with kids who can help guide him as he continues learning his manners and polishing his crime-solving skills.
McGruff is ready to close the case on homelessness and open a new one — finding his forever family!
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The schnauzer is a versatile and intelligent dog breed known for its distinctive beard and eyebrows. They come in three sizes - miniature, standard, and giant - each with their own unique personalities and characteristics. Schnauzers are loyal, playful, and make excellent family pets. They require regular grooming to maintain their wiry coat and love to be included in activities with their human companions. With proper training and socialization, schnauzers can thrive in various roles, from loving companion to skilled working dog.
