DESCRIPTION
Gummy Bear is a 12 year old sweet senior lady who is the best companion! She only wants to be near her people and will follow them everywhere, but she prefers snuggling right up close. She has very low vision, but appears to see shapes and shadows which helps her navigate her surroundings without needing any real help. She also appears to have some difficulty hearing, but that doesn't seem to matter much to her. So she has no anxiety with storms, loud noises etc. However this does not make her the best guard dog as she sleeps through people coming and going in and out of the house! She is a picky eater, but loves to be hand fed kibble. When she gets hungry enough she will go and eat from her bowl independently. Gummy Bear does not seem to be a fan of wet foods. She is house trained and has not had an accident in the house since her foster stay began. She does not like her kennel much, but does a little barking and then settles down. Gummy Bear walks well on leash and just needs a little guidance when going up and down stairs or uneven terrain. She can jump up and down off the couch independently too! She does wonderful during her bath and blow drys.
Overall she's a great dog who is very low maintenance and like most seniors just wants a warm body to nap on all day. She is also good with other dogs and respectful small children.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The schnauzer is a versatile and intelligent dog breed known for its distinctive beard and eyebrows. They come in three sizes - miniature, standard, and giant - each with their own unique personalities and characteristics. Schnauzers are loyal, playful, and make excellent family pets. They require regular grooming to maintain their wiry coat and love to be included in activities with their human companions. With proper training and socialization, schnauzers can thrive in various roles, from loving companion to skilled working dog.
