Gene is a sweet and lovable rough-coated Collie, about 1.5-2 years old and around 48 pounds. She's a happy, social pup who absolutely loves to play and gets along wonderfully with other dogs-both male and female.
She's currently being fostered with a senior male Yorkie who she happily cuddles with and shares space and toys beautifully.
What we love about Gene:
House trained
Does a great job signaling when she needs to go outside
Dog-friendly and very social
Sweet, affectionate, and loves being with her people
Gene would do best in a home with a fenced yard and would truly thrive with another playful dog to run and romp with. She has a fun, energetic personality and needs a family who can give her the daily exercise and attention she needs to be her best self. She is not destructive and does not chew inappropriate items but she does like to stay busy with bones and other toys!
As a typical herding breed, Gene does have some light herding behavior.
Gene is ready for an active home that will enjoy her playful spirit and give her the life she deserves.
Gene is being fostered in Lancaster, PA and potential adopters would be required to travel to meet her.
