Hi, I’m Scout 🐾 a 7-year-old gentle giant here to prove that adopting a “senior” might be the best decision you ever make. Not long ago I found myself on the euthanasia list in Dallas after being surrendered for supposedly not liking women. My rescue sent a woman to meet me, and she came prepared with hot dogs. I leaned in for a kiss within minutes and went home with her that same day, so it’s safe to say I absolutely adore women and snacks.
When I first arrived in foster care I was thin and unsure, but with good food, consistency, and love I’ve completely transformed. I’m now a healthy, happy 102-pound cuddle expert with a goofy personality and a very gentle heart. I’m crate trained, potty trained, love my toys, and I do beautifully with other dogs. I free feed with zero food aggression and respectfully share space with dogs of all different personalities.
You’re getting me at the best stage of life. I’m past the destructive puppy phase and straight into the good stuff. I have great manners, a calm, steady temperament, and a deep appreciation for naps and snuggles. I still have plenty of life, love, and joy to give, and I’m incredibly grateful for my second chance.
Dogs like me are the hidden gems. We already know how to love deeply and we don’t take a home for granted. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will make you laugh, follow you from room to room, and be your very best friend, I’m your guy.
Love,
Scout 🧡
