To Nala:
“How do I love thee? Let me count the ways:”
1. Nala is sweet and gentle with other dogs (she’s currently fostered with two pugs!).
2. She is housebroken and crate trained.
3. Nala is wonderful with children and lives with 12- and 14-year-olds in her foster home.
4. She has a soft mouth and has never shown any resource guarding.
5. Nala is smart and eager to please, and she already knows some commands.
6. She walks beautifully on a leash.
And now we warmly welcome Nala to Hampton Roads!
It’s hard to imagine that a dog as gentle and loving as Nala ended up in a high-kill shelter — the last place she belonged. But that chapter of her life is behind her now and will never be repeated.
Nala is truly one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. She’s currently living in a foster home with two little pugs and happily takes her cues from them as she settles into being the perfect household companion.
She is already housebroken and crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and takes treats with the softest, most polite mouth. Nala gets along with every dog she meets and is always ready for a walk, an outing, or simply spending time with her people.
Nala lives to please — whether as a loving companion, loyal friend, or even an exercise partner. It doesn’t take long to fall in love with her gentle spirit and kind soul.
A Rottweiler mix (possibly purebred), Nala is about two years old and weighs around 70 pounds. She is fully vaccinated and has an appointment scheduled to be spayed.
It quickly becomes clear that Nala is an extraordinary dog who deserves a wonderful home and a bright future.
