Don’t let the tough-girl look fool you, Phoebe is 100% wiggle-butt. While the shelter had her listed as 6, this girl has the "zoomies" and playfulness of a 4 or 5-year-old. After a few weeks in foster care, Phoebe has blossomed from a timid, stressed girl into a confident, silly, and incredibly loving companion. She is the perfect "best of both worlds" dog: she’s always down for a game of chase or a long walk, but she’s also an Olympic-level professional at napping and cuddling. Phoebe does great on leash and is potty trained as well. She does great with other dogs and has shown no signs of food or toy aggression while in our care.
Why You’ll Fall in Love:
- A Brilliant Student: Phoebe is a quick study! She mastered "Sit," "Come," and "No" in just one day. She is eager to please and responds beautifully to gentle corrections.
- The Ultimate Roommate: we are college students, and Phoebe is perfectly well behaved when we go to class for a few hours!
- A Social Butterfly (Once She Knows You): She can be a bit shy at first, but give her a few days and a couple of scratches, and she’ll be your shadow. Patience is key!
- Silly & Sweet: she has the goofiest personality, and loves company, you can always tell when she is a happy girl when her lil nub starts wagging!
Phoebe’s Wishlist:
- No Crates, Please: Phoebe gets very anxious in enclosed spaces. Since she’s so well-behaved, she has been left loose in the house while we are gone. She'd much prefer a cozy dog bed in the corner over a crate.
- A Furry Sibling: She would thrive in a home with another doggie friend to help keep her confident and playful. Her current foster sibling has done a lot for her confidence and personality
- Patience: She needs a family that understands she might be a little nervous for the first 4-5 days. Once she knows she’s safe, her true "teddy bear" self comes out to stay.
Phoebe is more than just a pet; she’s a soulmate in a Rottweiler suit. If you’re looking for a loyal, smart, and snuggly addition to your family, Phoebe is waiting right here for you!
