DESCRIPTION
Meet Whiskey - our sensitive, soulful 7-month-old Rottweiler mix with a heart as big as his paws.
Whiskey is still just a puppy, very large puppy! But the busy shelter environment has been a little overwhelming for him. The loud noises, unfamiliar smells, and constant activity can feel scary to a young dog who's still learning about the world. Because of this, he may seem shy at first - but give him a little time and patience, and you'll see the sweet, gentle boy he truly is.
What helps Whiskey shine? Confident and kind, steady people. He takes wonderful comfort in the presence of another calm, self-assured dog who can show him that the world isn't such a scary place. He looks to his people for gentle reassurance, soft voices, and patient encouragement can go a long way in helping him feel safe.
At just 7 months old, Whiskey is at the perfect age to continue building confidence and learning new things. With positive reinforcement, consistency, and love, he has all the potential to grow into a loyal, devoted companion.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The Rottweiler is a powerful and loyal breed known for its robust build and confident demeanor. Originating from Germany, these dogs are renowned for their intelligence, making them excellent guard and working dogs. Rottweilers are known for their distinctive black and tan markings, along with their calm and confident temperament. With proper training and socialization, they can be affectionate companions and effective protectors, embodying the qualities of courage, strength, and loyalty.
