Meet Reba
Reba has spent her life taking care of everyone else. Now it's finally her turn to be someone's beloved family dog.
After spending nearly 5 weeks in a shelter, Reba was pulled into foster care for a fresh start. On the way to her veterinary appointment, it became obvious she was carrying more than a few extra pounds. An examination confirmed she was over halfway through her pregnancy. She was also diagnosed as heartworm positive, but that didn't stop her from settling into foster care with her calm, gentle nature.
Not long after arriving, Reba delivered 8 beautiful puppies in a quick, uncomplicated labor. She proved to be an exceptional mother—attentive, patient, and loving. She kept her babies clean, well-fed, and safe until they were ready to begin their own journeys. Once her puppies were weaned, Reba began her heartworm treatment and is now ready to find a family of her own.
