Let me tell you a little about myself — I'm a handsome retriever mix (that's what the humans think, anyway!), and I recently got my second chance after being rescued from a very crowded shelter in Lexington, NC. Now I'm safe, fully vetted, and officially on the hunt for something very important... my forever family. If you're looking for a friendly, happy-go-lucky pup, I might just be your guy. I love meeting new people and making dog friends — seriously, other dogs are the BEST. Playtime? Yes please. Sniffing adventures? Count me in. Learning new things? I'm at the perfect age for that! With my smarts and eagerness to please, I'm ready to become the star student in your training classes. But don't worry — I'm not all zoomies and tennis balls. I'm also dreaming about cozy evenings, belly rubs, and being your loyal sidekick through all of life's adventures. All that's missing now... is you. So what do you think? Could your home be the forever one I've been waiting for? I promise to bring plenty of love, laughter, and wagging-tail happiness into your life. Apply today — I can't wait to meet you!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
