Retriever Dogs Available for Adoption

Raven is such a gorgeous lady whose fur is as soft and teddy bear-like as you might hope for when laying eyes on her, and she has a cuddly side that means she will be thrilled to live her life out being her new family's personal teddy bear (and she loves to roll onto her back to ask for a belly rub or shower you with kisses if you'll let her!). Raven also has an adventurous side and loves to explore new sights and sounds, but she will ditch them at a moment's notice to cuddle when the opportunity arises! Her sunny demeanor is sure to win her new friends wherever she goes.
Raven has grown confident and brave over her time in foster, always aiming to please. She is overall submissive in nature, accommodates other dogs very nicely even had the opportunity to be around the foster family's cats when out in the yard and didn't chase the felines! She takes her cues from her people and learns very quickly (sitting for treats was mastered in under 2 minutes, for example). She has been developing her house training skills as her nerves are just now getting to the stage of being able to "hold it" between the kennel area and the back yard. It's definitely a work in progress her new family will need to help her with one-on-one to help her connect the dots to only "go" when she gets outside. Raven also isn't a big noise maker, only occasionally barking when something or someone new appears, but otherwise not very noisy. She is playful and does love to zoom around the yard with her sibling, but settles nicely when she comes inside and behaves well indoors after burning energy off with exercise. She would love to learn about leash walking so that she can go on walks in the neighborhood greeting all the new people and dogs, and would make an excellent hiker for a family who is the outdoor type.
