Retriever Dogs Available for Adoption

Pepper is a 32 lb sweetheart that is estimated at about 1.5 years old. She is learning the joys of being an indoor dog in her foster home and showing lots of personality as her heart and body heals.

Pepper is housebroken- she will stand at the door when she needs to go. She recently learned how to use a dog door to let herself go roll in the grass. She lives with two other dogs (she is submissive but trying to initiate play) and a cat (she ignores the cat). Pepper would do best in a home with another confident dog that can help her learn the routines and walk routes. Speaking of walks, Pepper does excellent on a leash. She would prefer to have a couple of short 10 minute walks a day. She does not like the crate, so she has some limited roaming room during the day when her fosters aren’t home. She is not destructive during this time. When the opportunity presents itself, she will carry shoes around the house. Given her soft mouth, we think she has some retriever in her.

Our dogs are fostered in Texas but available for adoption in the Northern States. We have transports that leave Texas monthly. Our out of state adoption fee is $600 per dog. This fee includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, a registered microchip, a negative heart worm test (if over 6 months old), health certificate, flea/tick monthly preventative and transport costs. The adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Face time, etc). The adoption application and fee would be finalized prior to transport.
