DESCRIPTION
Meet Merica,
Merica's in the Adoption Ambassador foster program. Foster families take animals into their homes and help them get adopted. This is what her foster family is saying about her:
This sweet little boy is Captain ‘Merica. He is a 3 month old mixed breed and is ready for his forever home. His loyalty, playfulness, and determination shine brightly. He loves kids, other dogs, doesn’t seem bothered by the cat, and likes to have lively conversations with the chickens/ducks. This confident little guy needs a home where he can play, learn, and grow. Will you be his hero?

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The retriever is a beloved dog breed known for its friendly demeanor, intelligence, and exceptional ability to retrieve objects. With a loyal and gentle nature, retrievers make excellent family pets and are popular choices for service and therapy work. These dogs excel in obedience training and activities such as agility and hunting. Recognized for their shiny coats and moderate size, retrievers come in various colors including golden, Labrador, and Chesapeake Bay. Their overall versatility and affectionate personalities make them cherished companions in many households.
