Meet Myrtle ??

Myrtle is a beautiful black retriever mix with the softest eyes and the gentlest soul. She came to us as a stray, so we don’t know what her past looked like — but we do know her future deserves to be full of love and security.

This sweet girl can be a little shy at first, but it doesn’t take long to see just how much she adores people. When she’s feeling unsure, she’ll lean her whole body against your legs (just like a cat!) for reassurance. It’s her quiet way of saying, "I trust you." Once she bonds with you, she melts into affection and just wants to be close.

Myrtle loves going for walks and is happiest when she’s by your side, exploring the world at a comfortable pace. She appears to be potty-trained and already knows "sit" and "shake" — a smart girl who’s eager to please!

She does well with other dogs but prefers gentle companions. Bouncy, jumpy dogs can make her nervous, so she’d thrive with a calmer canine friend or as your one-and-only.

Myrtle is the kind of dog who will blossom in a patient, loving home. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow, a soft lean against your legs after a long day, and a quiet best friend who will love you with her whole heart, Myrtle might be your girl.
