Harper Lee has a story of quiet courage and second chances. Rescued as a young pup from the streets, she spent her early life without much stability or kindness, so the world felt like a big and uncertain place.

When she first arrived in Austin, Harper Lee was shy and unsure, taking her time to observe and understand her new surroundings. But with patience, gentle guidance, and the loving care of her foster family, she has slowly begun to blossom.

Today Harper Lee enjoys exploring the yard, greeting her people with sweet little nuzzles, and spending time with her dog friends. Having other dogs around helps her feel secure, and their companionship has been an important part of her growing confidence. She has also formed a special bond with her foster mom and truly enjoys the comfort and companionship of her trusted humans.

Harper Lee is a gentle, thoughtful girl who will do best in a calm home with at least one friendly dog companion to help her continue building confidence and feeling safe.

She has come such a long way and is ready for the next chapter of her life — a forever home where she can keep blossoming and discover just how wonderful it is to belong.
