Lila Mae is a 1-year-old, 30 lb sweetheart who came from a cruelty/hoarding situation, and while the world is still a little scary to her, her gentle heart is full of quiet hope.

This shy girl is timid at first, but with patience, kindness, and time, Lila Mae will begin to show the loving companion she truly wants to be. She does well with other dogs, and a calm home with another friendly pup could help her continue building confidence.

Lila Mae doesn’t need much — just a patient, understanding person who will give her the love and reassurance she’s never had before.

Lila Mae is:

Rescue Coop is a registered 501c that saves dogs from imminent euthanasia and at risk situations and transports them directly to approved adopters nationwide. We are located in SC but in three years, we have placed 450 dogs in 20 states. We post our dogs in the areas we regularly transport to. Our adoption fee is $200 with no additional transport charges. Unfortunately we are unable to do meet and greets but our adoption coordinators strive to make excellent matches.
