Two Peas in a Pod – Bonded Pair Looking for Their Forever Home

Meet these sweet, bonded female dogs who are truly better together.

Cece is a rat terrier mix who is five years old and weighs about 10lbs.
Kiva is a Chihuahua Mix, who is 3 years old and weighs 5lbs.

From sunrise zoomies to bedtime cuddles, these two do everything side by side—and we mean everything. They play together all day long, then curl up and sleep on top of each other like the perfect little puzzle pieces.

These girls had a tough beginning in life and grew up in a very sheltered environment, so the world is still a bit new to them. Because of that, they may need a little patience as they continue to build confidence—but the payoff is huge. Despite their limited life experiences so far, they are incredibly friendly and well socialized. They love every human and dog they meet and greet everyone with gentle, happy energy.

Cece and Kiva are bonded and must be adopted together. They are dog-friendly and enjoy canine companions, and they would likely do well with cats given proper introductions. They are pee pad trained and would be best suited to a home with no small children. A secure yard of their own to explore and sunbathe would make them especially happy. Like many little dogs, they may bark at unfamiliar sounds, but they are content and relaxed at home in each other’s company. Above all, they are sweet, affectionate, cuddly girls—gentle souls who simply want to feel safe and loved.

These girls are the kind of dogs who will follow you from room to room, nap together at your feet, and bring constant warmth (literally and emotionally) into your home. They’re happiest together and are perfectly fine staying home side by side, keeping each other company.

They’re looking for a forever family who understands that their past was hard—but their future can be amazing. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a bonded pair of best friends who will love you endlessly (and love each other just as much), these two are waiting for you.

Young adult 1 year - 5 years $650
Adults 6 years - 9 years $575
Seniors 10+ $325

The adoption fee includes spay/neuter .
*EXCLUDING UNALTERED PUPPIES UNDER A YEAR.

The adoption fee also includes, at a minimum, vaccinations, de-worming, I.D. tag and microchip insertion. We gratefully accept any amount above the adoption fee as a donation used to support our mission to save as many dogs as possible.

The Rat Terrier is a lively and intelligent breed known for its versatility and agility. With a compact and muscular build, these dogs are energetic and make excellent companions for active individuals and families.
