Foster insights/backstory:
Drizella’s story is one of quiet resilience. She came from a high-kill shelter alongside her family, where being timid nearly cost her everything. While her mother and siblings made their way to safety in Canada, Drizzy is still learning that the world can be kind.
This sweet girl may start off shy, but underneath is a heart that deeply wants to love and be loved. Every single day she grows braver—small wins like no longer submissively peeing when approached show just how far she’s come. She melts into the couch for cozy naps, watches her people with gentle curiosity, and slowly but surely lets her guard down.
Drizzy thrives with patience, softness, and reassurance. She may hang back at first or shy away, but give her a little time and you’ll see her blossom into the affectionate, loyal companion she’s meant to be. She gets along with other dogs but may need slow introductions as she builds confidence.
This girl doesn’t need perfection—she just needs someone willing to show her that she’s finally safe. And once she knows that, her love is something truly special.
