Rat Terrier and Mountain Cur Dogs Available for Adoption

This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

Leaping Lizards! Meet Annie Warbucks, a 2-year-old Rat Terrier / Mountain Cur mix, weighing 20 pounds (as of 3/2/26). This plucky girl was a stray in Tennesee where she had her puppies. She's looking for her next fur-ever family and can't wait to bring her joy and optimism to your home! Tomorrow's just a day away!

Annie is the sweetest girl you could ever ask for. Even Miss Hannigan, who hates all orphans, has said that if you meet Annie, you will love her. She's a gentle girl with an easygoing personality that is sure to bring calm to all the chaos in your home. Annie radiates love when she gazes in your eyes so don't stare too long unless you want to be hypnotized! She enjoys spending time with her people and does well with kids, other dogs, and cats. Annie is also crate trained, leash trained, and house trained making her the perfect addition to any mansion.

Annie is a homebody who prefers to lie in her cozy dog bed or cuddle up next to you after singing "It's A Hard Knock Life." And sadly, it was. She was hit by a car previously and had to have surgery on her hip to help her heal. Annie has had FHO surgery, so that should prevent any issues in the future. She is now fully healed! Go Annie!

The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application.
