Rat Terrier, Mixed Breed
🇺🇸
Washington, Pennsylvania
March 13th
male, small, adult
DESCRIPTION
Trigger (previously known as Runt) and Chloe are a sweet pair. Sadly, their owner passed away and — as too often happens — left them without a safety net or a back up plan. More poor little dogs with nowhere to go, or people willing to step up for them so they end up in a shelter. Trigger, with his Tri-colored face and little white frame is almost five years old and approximately 12 lbs. His companion, Chloe, with the fluffy black and white coat is only three years old and a little chunkier at a bit over 20 lbs. pinpointing their breeds is at best a guess, but they are both small mixes and absolutely adorable! Trigger is a total cuddle bug little boy, and Chloe is a very curious little girl who loves finding/playing with toys. Although they need not be adopted together ($600), for anyone seeking a perfect pair, these two are already an instant family. Just add some responsible adults!
You can visit the dogs from noon - 3 pm Saturdays and Sundays, otherwise by appointment. We always recommend submitting an application (and a copy of recent vet records for your current pets if applicable) to info@aradopt.org.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The Rat Terrier is a lively and intelligent breed known for its versatility and agility. With a compact and muscular build, these dogs are energetic and make excellent companions for active individuals and families. Rat Terriers are adept at a variety of activities, from hunting to obedience training, thanks to their keen intelligence and eager to please nature. Their short coat requires minimal grooming, making them low maintenance pets. Overall, the Rat Terrier is a spirited and loyal breed, well suited to various lifestyles.
