Pug Dogs Available for Adoption

Peggy (affectionately known as “Baby”) is a 5-year-old Pug with all the lovable, classic traits that make this breed so special. With her black and tan coloring and a perfect 18.2-pound size, she is just right for cuddling on the couch, tagging along on errands, or simply being your constant companion.

Peggy is the kind of dog who fits in just about anywhere. She is dog friendly, people friendly, and does great in public settings like parks. She was raised in a busy, loving home with multiple dogs—including a Shepherd, two Poodles, and a Maltese—so she is very comfortable around other animals and understands pack dynamics well. She also comes from a large family with kids and teens, and she has proven to be gentle, social, and easygoing in that environment.

This sweet girl has a playful spirit and a fun personality. She loves to run and play, but she also has a great ability to entertain herself. Peggy can spend hours happily occupied with her toys, especially her favorite purple jack-shaped chew toy. She has that perfect balance of independence and affection—she enjoys playtime, but she also loves being near her people and part of whatever is going on.

Peggy is fully vetted and ready for her next chapter. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and has recently completed heartworm treatment. She has come through it beautifully and is ready to move forward into a healthy, happy life.

She is both leash trained and crate trained, which makes her an easy addition to a new home. Whether you are taking her for a walk, heading out on a road trip, or just relaxing at home, Peggy adjusts well. She especially loves car rides and will happily ride along wherever you are going.

Peggy is a typical Pug when it comes to being vocal—she is a normal barker and may let you know when something catches her attention—but overall she is a well-mannered and balanced dog.

What really makes Peggy special is how well-rounded she is. She has been exposed to so many different situations and has handled them all with a calm, friendly, and adaptable nature. She is the kind of dog who can walk into a new home and quickly become part of the family.

Getting Peggy Home:

Peggy is spayed, microchipped & vaccinated and would benefit from being adopted by a dog-loving person who understands she has so much to offer but will need a little time to adjust and settle in with her new family.

NOTE: THIS IS AN "OUT OF TOWN PET" - that means she is not at this location but we do have transport here - more about transport below. Our Rescue is Houston based (https://www.facebook.com/TwilightTailsRescue) and all our fosters and Rescue Ranch are in and around Houston.

Currently this dog is being fostered at our Rescue Ranch near Houston, TX but can be brought close to your home on rescue transport which comes through your area once a month. Transport info below.

Adoption fee is $425 plus $30 for a health certificate and $250 for transport.

Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on-time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport.
