Sam is one mellow doodle that loves to lay around, rest, and greet you at the door. He is a lover, not a fighter and gets along with the dogs, which are smaller, and cat in the house. When guests come over to visit he always greets them with a gentle jump, hug, and sometimes even a kiss! He has been around children as young as 4 and is very gentle as well. We don't foresee he'd have issues beyond getting in the little persons space. Sam is two years old and about 50 pounds. This guy does have a free spirit though so make sure doors are secure because he's curious and if left to his own devices will run out the front door to explore the neighborhood and, like most toddlers, he's not great at following commands the first time. He does not actively try to escape a well fenced in yard. Sam is a growing boy and is still learning, so be prepared to teach him the rules of the house. He is treat motivated and has learned sit and shake during the short time at his fosters. With warm weather coming he's ready for nice walks on a leash and some sunny rides in the car, two of his favorite activities!
Sam's adoption fee is $300 which cover his neuter, microchip with registration, vaccines and flea & heartworm prevention. You can apply at gfrpets.org/apply/adoptdog/
