Poodle Dogs Available for Adoption

Meet PELUSA! Pelusa is about 9 years old, 12 pounds, female, grey miniature poodle. She is so sweet, friendly with everyone she meets and a happy girl. While she is older, don't tell her or let that fool you --Pelusa loves to get attention from her humans. Everyone she meets adores this sweet gal! While she would be happy to be involved in any activity, best of all, Pelusa settles down nicely to hang out with her people. She has great house manners, including being housetrained.

Poor Pelusa was surrendered to a rural NC shelter when her family indicated that they could no longer take care of her. After eight years with her family, this sweet gal did not understand why she had been dumped at a scary, overcrowded shelter. The shelter's rescue coordinator immediately sent us a plea to help and sweet Pelusa was able to catch a ride a few days later on an already planned freedom ride. So now Pelusa is ready to find her new, and this time, forever home.

Although she is a senior with a slower gait, she has so much love and happiness to give to her new family for many years! Pelusa would love to curl up in your lap to hang out on a spring evening; she loves to cuddle and get pets! She would be an excellent new member of the family!

In addition, an important step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies ), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.***

Pelusa is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines.

The adoption fee for this dog is $250 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter.
