Dorothy, our sweet golden girl, is already making wonderful progress in foster care and slowly learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. She’s excelling at house training and does well when crated for short periods, especially with another dog nearby. Though she’s still easily startled by sudden noise or movement, she’s beginning to show more confidence, and it’s been a joy to watch her slowly come out of her shell. After a life of having puppies for profit, she has a love to learn.

She will thrive in a calm, quiet home with a fenced yard and, most importantly, another friendly dog to help her feel secure and show her the ropes. Outside can still feel overwhelming, but with the right support, she’ll continue to grow more comfortable. Once she feels safe, her affectionate side shines through as she stays close by your feet or curls up for snuggles. She even has a playful, silly streak, sneaking things like socks to toss around when she thinks no one is watching. With patience, love, and time, Dorothy will continue to blossom into a devoted and endearing companion.
