Meet Caine Sterling

Cane Sterling's story is one of heartbreak-but also hope. He was found abandoned in a ditch, alone in a crate, left behind by the world he should have been able to trust. Because of this, Caine is extremely scared and completely shut down. At this time, he cannot be touched and is still learning that people can be safe.

Caine will need a very special home-one with an experienced, patient, and deeply compassionate person who understands severely neglected and fearful dogs. Someone who won't rush him, who will respect his boundaries, and who will celebrate even the smallest steps forward. His progress will not be quick or easy, but for the right person, it will be meaningful beyond words.

He will need a calm, quiet environment where he can begin to decompress and slowly learn what it means to feel safe.

Caine may not be ready to give affection right away-but he deserves the chance to learn how. Somewhere beneath the fear is a dog who has never known kindness, just waiting for someone to show him what love truly is.

Adoption fee is: $200

ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.

Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.

Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.
