ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 55 lbs full grown now

KNOWN WITH DOGS: Marley has met dogs of all sizes and said to do well. He's a jumpy boy now that
he's off the streets and healing up, so he may need a more active friend.
KNOWN WITH CATS: He's seen them and not been too interested but has not met one yet in person.
KNOWN WITH KIDS: Marley is great with people of all ages, but he can get jumpy when excited so he
may knock small children over by accident!
KNOWN COMMANDS: He knows his name and we are working on finding out what else he knows!
KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: Marley has done with crating. He is going to a foster
home soon (6/17) and we'll know more about his housebreaking habits then. But so far, he's been doing great with crate training!
KNOWN LIKES: Food, cuddles, walks, attention.
KNOWN DISLIKES: He has not shown any real dislikes. But now that he's off the streets, we imagine he would hate to be back there - so chalk that up to his only dislike!
ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Marley has had a hard life up until recently with so much loss. For months, he was seen wandering around is rural town with his best dog pal - looking dirty and skinny and no one knowing if he had an actual home. Sadly, his best dog buddy was killed by a car recently and while Marley stuck
hear him, a kind passerby grabbed him and noticed how dirty and skinny he was. Thankfully, HT was
able to jump in and agree to pay for an immediate vet visit - and we are SO GLAD we did. This boy was
so filthy and had a life-threatening corn cob stuck in his intestines, which would have killed him very
soon. We got his emergency surgery covered and found him temporary boarding until we could find a
local DC foster home for him. During his time in boarding, we got this wonderful report on him:
Marley is a wonderful boy. He does well in his crate. He is a bit of a jumper when he wants something or gets excited so he'll be an excellent candidate for positive training! He walks well on a leash. He is food
motivated. He has seen cats and not barked at them but not met one yet in person. He's such a sweet,
resilient boy and given all that he has been through, he has remained sweet to everyone he meets.
Marley will benefit from training and a family who can love him the way he deserves so that he can put
his sad days behind him.
