Kuro is a 28-pound poodle mix (born Feb. 2020) with a sweet, sensitive nature and the most soulful brown eyes. He's looking for a calm, consistent home where he can feel safe and build his confidence. Kuro is not a dog for first time dog owners - he is a dog who needs stability, structure, calm yet confident ownership, and guidance as he transitions into his forever home. New environments can make him unsure at first, and he might let you know he's uncomfortable by whining, but with routine and clear structure, he settles in and relaxes without issue. Kuro's foster says he has a moderate energy level that can go 0 to 100 quick, which can be overwhelming to small kids, so he'd do best in a home without very young children. She also says he is house trained and crate trained. Kuro gets along well with other dogs, but tends to take advantage of more submissive dogs. He responds beautifully to confident dogs who can set those boundaries for him. At the end of the day, Kuro's favorite things are being next to his person, going for a nice long walk, and playing tug-of-war.
