Poodle and German Shepherd Dog Dogs Available for Adoption

Ready for the cutest wire-haired, slightly scruffy, red-headed boy puppy? Safari will melt your heart! Safari arrived to us from Oklahoma where he wasn't having a very good chance of finding a home. We promised him Oregon will pull through though and surely there are lots of scruffy puppy lovers here.

- Date of birth: 12/11/25

- Weighs 17 pounds on 3/15/26 and will likely be around 50 pounds full grown. We cannot guarantee size at maturity.

- Breed mix is anyone's best guess but we are truly curious where this boy's beard and extra fringe are coming from - Poodle maybe? If you adopt him and do a DNA test please let us know!

- Social, confident, playful, happy puppy

- Loves other dogs and was already cuddling Day #1 with his Labrador foster sister.

- Good with gentle kids

- Young enough to learn cats are not to be chased and to be respected.

- Learning leash skills and crate training

- Potty training is a work in progress but he's one smart cookie and is catching on quickly.

We prioritize puppy adopters that will make the investment and commitment to training classes and socializing their new puppy so that they can grow into a well mannered adult dog. Puppies are a lot of time and work the first year, so please be ready to take that on and stick with it.

Safari has had 3 rounds of puppy vaccines, is microchipped, dewormed and his adoption fee includes his neuter surgery between 7 - 12 months of age at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Milwaukie or SW Portland. It also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland or Tualatin.
