Salem is best suited for a home with older children that can more easily understand a dog's boundaries with handling. He walks nicely on leash and already responds to cues like "With Me" and "Touch," showing off his smarts and eagerness to learn.

Salem is social and playful with other dogs - both big and small - and enjoys appropriate play at the dog park. He would likely thrive in a home with another friendly canine companion.

He rides calmly in the car and has taken many trips successfully. Salem prefers not to be lifted unexpectedly or squeezed into tight spaces, but with mindful handling he settles in just fine.
