Do you have an unending supply of snuggles & love? Henry is a 9 year young Bichon/Poodle mix who is looking for love in all the right places! Maybe that place is with you!
Henry was regrettably surrendered to our rescue group because his owner's work hours meant that he was alone all day and not getting the attention he craves.
Weighing in at a healthy 25 lb., Henry checks all the boxes! He is friendly, wants very much to please, is a quick learner and is food motivated He settled into his foster home after just a few days and made himself right at home.
Henry has so many wonderful attributes. His tail is almost always wagging and when you tell him what a good boy he is, it goes into overdrive! And we suspect that Henry is a "doggie Einstein". On his first night in his foster home, he was the first to run upstairs when his foster mom announced it was bedtime. It's as if he had lived there all his life.
Of course, NO dog is perfect and Henry has needed work on some "listening" challenges. Like a kid who doesn't want to come inside on a summer night, Henry tends to "dawdle" when told to "come inside" but in just a couple of weeks he has made big strides in this area. He's still working on his "pushiness" and has a tendency to walk over the other dogs in his foster home or push them aside in his quest to get pets from his humans.
Henry truly enjoys the company of most other dogs. He is playful and often is the initiator. But if his housemates aren't interested in playing, he might entertain himself by tossing a toy around.
On those occasions when Henry's foster mom leaves the house, he very willingly goes into the "doggie room" with one or two of his canine bodies and settles down on a dog bed. At night, he sometimes sleeps on the foster mom's bed and sometimes on a dog bed.
In the housekeeping department, Henry scores a big A-PLUS! He has not had a single accident while in foster care and his former owner indicated that he was very Mr. Reliable.
If interested in adopting Henry, you will need to fill out our application which can be found at: https://share.google/KJ1frxsmAg6k9zJFH
We are happy to consider out-of-state applications, however, if approved, all family members--children and dogs included--must come to the foster home to finalize the adoption
