Sonny is a pomeranian / husky mix. He is a medium sized dog around 50lbs (small and stocky). He is sweet, excited to meet people, and seems to be okay with kids. Sonny is very friendly to all of the volunteers at the shelter. He is a puppy who is bouncy and full of energy. He needs someone who understands puppy energy and is willing to train him and can give him lots of play time. He will do best in an active home. He is still working on learning manners. He does well walking on a leash and is curious about his surroundings, investigating and sniffing then moves on to the next spot to do more investigating and sniffing. He is reactive to other dogs and cats, so he would need to be the only pet in the house. He is likely to need a muzzle for vet visits at least until he gets comfortable. He gets scared during pet handling and would benefit from some training. We can make a recommendation for a vet that treats one pet at a time and has a lot of experience with dogs that have high anxiety going to the vet. Sonny would love to meet you and have a chance at a forever home.
