Meet Denise, a loving, happy girl who is looking for her forever home! This gorgeous Pointer mix is looking for a loving family to call her own.

Whether you are looking for a great family dog or that special dog to be your best friend, Denise will steal your heart. This 1.5-year-old, 30 lbs, pointer mix will trot up to you looking for pets on her head and ear rubs, snuggle up in your lap or by your side for hours, rest comfortably close by when you’re outside, and happily trot along with you on long walks.

She is great on leash and is frequently walked with another dog without pulling. She is learning not to chase deer and to move out of the street when a car is coming.

Gentle Denise is toddler tested and approved, approaching new children slowly while checking for acceptance. With her small size and gentle nature, she would make a great playmate for children and also plays well with other dogs after a slow introduction.

Denise learns quickly and responds well to pets, “good girl”, and treats. She is fully house-trained, learned to use the dog door in one day, waits patiently for her food at her regular feeding spot (in a house with 3 other dogs), is crate trained, and sleeps through the night without making a peep. She responds to her name, has good recall, and is learning “stay”, “off” and “down”.

Denise is happy indoors and outdoors. She is fully vaccinated and spayed. She is super smart and will thrive in a home where she gets lots of love and attention.

Denise is currently being fostered in Lago Vista, TX and is available for adoption in Texas and the Northeastern states.
