(DOB 02/23/2022) Are you looking for a joyful, goofy girl whose mission in life is to make every day a little more fun? If there's an adventure happening, Daisy would like to volunteer as the official activity coordinator.
This playful girl is also quite the social butterfly with other dogs. Daisy does wonderfully in playgroups and especially loves romping around with pups her own size. She can play with bigger dogs too, although she sometimes turns the fun up to “turbo mode” by convincing them to chase her, because in Daisy's mind, a good game of tag is the best game ever! When it gets a little "extra" wild-n-crazy, she's good at listening and is quickly redirect her. She's a smart pup who wants to do the right thing and make her people proud and happy!
Daisy enjoys little adventures like car rides, and will likely need a doggie seatbelt or else you may find her being a little nosey. She is even great with her trips to the vet (she's a very good patient!). She's also a big fan of weather fun to inlcude snow and water games. After a recent winter storm, Daisy discovered that crunchy pieces of ice make excellent snacks...or at least she thinks they do! Daisy is incredibly food-motivated and loves enrichment activities, which makes training both fun and rewarding. She's eager to learn, enjoys puzzles and treats, and responds really well to positive reinforcement. With her smarts and enthusiasm, she's the kind of pup who will happily learn new tricks—especially if snacks are involved.
She's currently working on her leash manners and can be a bit of an enthusiastic puller when something exciting catches her eye, but with a little guidance and consistency she'll be strutting along like a pro. Because Daisy has plenty of energy and loves to run and play, she would likely thrive in a home with a fenced yard and maybe even a playful dog buddy to share the zoomies with. A new 4-legged, fun bestie would be "the cat's meow" (oh, BTW, she hasn't meet kitties, yet).
Daisy is a friendly pup who enjoys meeting people and spreading smiles. She can be a little shy the first moment she meets someone new, but don't worry, it usually only takes a snack or two for her to decide you're her new best friend. Once she warms up, her sweet and affectionate personality shines through, and she happily soaks up pets, attention, and any opportunity to be near her favorite humans. Daisy hasn't had an opportunity to meet little kiddos at this time.
Daisy will need a good routine of potty breaks and crate training. For this, she'll need a home where someone is home a good chunk of the time to let her burn off her playful energy, hit the outdoors every few hours and romp and go for daily strolls.
At the end of a busy day, Daisy's favorite role is professional cuddle expert. She's a sweet, affectionate girl who loves attention and being the center of her humans' world. Whether she's playing with friends, going for a ride, or curling up for some well-earned snuggles, Daisy brings happiness wherever she goes.
As part of Daisy's $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet girl, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Daisy, you can complete an application online for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org.
