AGE: About 4 years old
WEIGHT: About 55 -60 lbs
NOTE: Skinny pictures are the BEFORE, not current.

1- FRIENDLY?
Princess is a people and dog-friendly girl. She hasn't been around kids, but she has such a sweet demeaner we assume she would blend right in with them.

2- ENERGY LEVEL?
Medium energy - rates about an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10, but never too crazy. In fact, she has a mellow, yet worm demeanor. Princess is pleasant and just peacefully hangs around. She is happy to be in your company, and is not intrusive or demanding.

3- AFFECTIONATE?
Sweet and affectionate is the only way Miss Princess knows how to be.

4- GENTLE?
Yes, she is.

5- SMART?
Princess is both smart and aware. She. knows how to read her person, and is able to follow their lead. Commands she knows: SIT, STAY, DOWN. She is a curious, and observes people's energy.

6- PROTECTIVE?
She is capable of being protective and would most likely protect as necessary.

7- WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT HER?
What's not to like??!! It's only natural to love every single thing about her!

8- WHAT DOES SHE LIKE? DISLIKE?
She is amiable to just about anything. No complaints from her end. She is easy going, and easy to please. She isn't much of a barker.

9- WHAT MAKES HER UNIQUE?
Her life has been less than desirable, yet, she continues to radiate sunshine.

10- HOUSE-TRAINED? CRATE-TRAINED?
Crate-trained, yes. She is in a 10x10 kennel and keeps it clean. So if she isn't house-trained, she would learn quickly (especially with consistent structure).

11- STORM Or SEPARATION ANXIETY? BEHAVIORAL ISSUES?
Princess has experienced hurricanes, tornedos, and has been completely unphased. So no storm anxiety, no separation anxiety and no behavioral issues.

12- HOW DOES SHE WALK ON LEASH?
She's a lovely girl and walks well on a leash.

13- HOW IS SHE IN THE CAR?
Well-mannered as she always is.

14- HIGH FOOD DRIVE?
Princess loves food, she loves treats, however, we wouldn't classify her in the cookie monster category.

15- PREY DRIVE?
Little Angel is curious, however we haven't seen signs of a high prey drive. We suspect rather that it is normal, average.

16- WHAT AREAS COULD SHE IMPROVE UPON?
She's a lady, but you wouldn't know it by her poop.

17- ANY POSSIBLE HEALTH CONCERNS?
None.

18- ANYTHING ELSE?
Fact#1: she was found wandering the grounds at an elementary school. Animal Control was called out due to the fear of a pitbull being loose and around so many young children.

Our Story/Assumption: She was initially dumped after someone overbred her.

19- IDEAL HOME/IDEAL LIFE?
We would love Princess to be in a home where she is made to feel special (to feel like a Princess), and with someone who is willing to gently hold her hand as she transitions into a real home with a forever family. Someone willing to work with her

20- WHAT IS THE BLEEDING HEART SOCIETY?
The Bleeding Heart Society refers to the dogs who were not just abandoned by their people, but also by the rescues who promised to save them. Many of them have been abandoned for years (and some their entire lives), in boarding facilities without anyone to advocate for them. THESE DOGS ARE JUST AS ADOPTABLE AS THE PUPS WE HAVE HAVE IN FOSTER HOMES. In most cases they were NOT abandoned because of behavioral or health issues. They are wonderful dogs who have simply been forgotten. These pups are living a life sentence they do not deserve. They are merely existing day in and day out with very limited freedom, joy or companionship.

In an effort for our hearts to bleed no more, we are initiating a separate effort to promote these specific pups to those who would like to join us on this mission of restoring their destiny to be in a stable home, to live a life worth living, and to love people worth loving.

Only a select number of our dogs are classified under THE BLEEDING HEART SOCIETY. Again, The Bleeding Heart Society only refers to the abandoned environment & conditions the dog has been left in. While the scenario is not desirable, these pups certainly are both loveable and adoptable.

PRINCESS is currently located in Kerrville, TX, and is available for transport to your area. The cost of transport is already included in the $850 adoption fee.
