Winter came to ACCT Philly after being surrendered by her family when her owner's health declined and they were no longer able to care for her. She was originally given as a gift, but changing circumstances made it impossible for her to stay in the home. Winter is now at the shelter and looking for a new start with a family who can meet her needs.
Behaviorally, Winter is a young, high-energy girl who is social, affectionate, and full of enthusiasm for life. She is described as extremely sweet and friendly with people, enjoys play and toys, and is eager to engage with her handlers. While she can be a bit nervous at times-especially during initial handling-she shows loose, affiliative body language once she settles in. Winter has done well around other dogs, showing interest and playful energy in playgroup. She will benefit from continued positive reinforcement, structure, and outlets for her energy as she continues to build confidence in new environments.
