Meet Mantis! Mantis is a sweet 4–5 year old girl who has survived more than any dog should. She came to the rescue from Animal Care and Control Team of Philadelphia starved and fighting for her life. Once a throw-away mama, she’s now ready to leave the past behind and find the loving home she truly deserves.
This silly cuddle bug is the perfect mix of playful and relaxed. She’s just as happy curling up next to you on the couch as she is heading out for a nice long walk. When she’s waiting for playtime, you’ll often find her happily chewing on her favorite bones in her crate.
Mantis does well with other dogs but prefers slow, proper introductions when meeting new friends. Once she realizes everyone is kind, she settles in and becomes part of the pack! She would thrive in a home with kids and playful dogs, but she’d also be perfectly happy soaking up all the love as your one and only. Mantis is seeking a home without cats.
After everything she’s been through, Mantis is ready for a home where she can finally be safe, loved, and spoiled the way she deserves.
