Learn more hereAlmondie is a 7-year-old, 51-pound pittie mix with a joyful spirit and a zest for life. This sweet, wiggly girl arrived at the shelter with an injured eye and badly irritated skin. The eye was removed, and her skin condition has vastly improved with diet and care thanks to her loving foster home.

While she’s technically a senior, Almondie has pep in her step and is always ready for an adventure. She loves car rides, walks, and hikes. She thrives with regular exercise and enrichment, is house-trained, and can relax at home by herself during your full workday.

A true people-lover, Almondie leans in for pets, shares hugs, and seeks lap time. She’s incredibly food-motivated and loves training, showing off skills like sit, shake, down, stay, spin, touch, and place. On leash, Almondie walks well but prefers space away from other dogs. She may do best as a solo dog or with a carefully matched canine companion.
