Pillow's story starts hard but ends with hope. She was abandoned on the streets of Rio Grande City, Texas, while pregnant — left to fend for herself at one of the most vulnerable moments of her life. A kind local rescuer took her in and spent two years trying to find her a forever home. When that didn't come, Pillow made her way to a Tennessee rescue, where she waited patiently for another year. Still, no one came.

Now Pillow has landed in New York City, and we have a feeling her luck is finally about to change! It’s easy to fall for her quiet charm, and she would be an amazing addition to any loving family. She is great with children and gets along nicely with dogs and cats. She's the kind of dog who asks for so little and gives back so much. Compliment her, smile at her, look at her with any warmth at all — and she'll wiggle her entire body like she just won the lottery.
