Pit Bull Terrier Dogs Available for Adoption

Meet Emily, a gorgeous and sweet 2-year-old pit bull terrier mix who is ready to bond deeply with her forever family! Emily is a beautiful soul who was brought into the city shelter system as a stray, and literally charmed her way out. She was so special that the shelter staff made her the 'admissions office pup' and we knew we had to rescue this sweet baby girl.

Emily is currently thriving with her foster family and learning how wonderful a safe warm home and a family finally feels. Emily is becoming a walking pro and enjoys her walks immensely with her foster dog brother. Her foster family tells us that Emily is just perfect, so its time for her to start her new best life yet with a family of her own.

Personality: Emily starts out a little shy with people (who doesn't!) and after she has a moment to observe and soak it all in, her true personality shines and she is the most cuddly and silly and sweet goofball girl! She has truly blossomed into an affectionate companion who adores attention, cuddles from her people and is hilariously silly.

The Kangaroo Hop: When Emily gets excited to see her people, she does an adorable, unique kangaroo hop that will instantly melt your heart!

Fashionista & Toy Lover: Emily is a full fashion girl who lives for her sweaters and blankets. She absolutely adores her toys, especially anything that makes a satisfying squeak!

Her Ideal Home: Emily is spayed and crate-trained, making her an easy girl to live with. She will thrive in a quieter household where she can get comfortable with a small circle of people. Her family will show her patience and understanding as she builds her confidence each day.

Emily can be a single household dog soaking up all the attention, or she can also live nicely with another well-mannered calm dog who will give her space while she adjusts and learns the family ropes. Although not cat tested, Emily has no reaction to cats outside and given her shy nature, she should be very cat friendly.

Emily is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. She weighs about 40 lbs.
