At 9 years young, this handsome pitbull mix came to us through our Humane Officer, carrying a past we’ll never fully know—but his spirit tells us everything we need to. Zephyr is pure joy in dog form. In fact, he was so happy to see people that he wagged his tail nonstop in his kennel and developed “happy tail,” which ultimately required amputation.
But don’t feel sorry for Zephyr—he doesn’t feel sorry for himself one bit. If anything, he leveled up. Now, instead of wagging just his tail, he wags his entire body. His back end wiggles, his eyes light up, and his whole being radiates love the moment he sees you.
Zephyr doesn’t need a tail to show his happiness. He just needs someone to share it with. He’s ready for soft beds, gentle hands, and a family who sees that his joyful spirit is his greatest feature of all.
