Vader is a handsome 2-year old male Pit Bull Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on March 8, 2026 by a Marietta Ohio City Police Officer who picked Vader up on Rubrake Road in the Fleming Ohio area. Vader was wearing a blue collar but, unfortunately, there was neither an id tag nor a dog tag on his collar .. And he was not microchipped.
This good-looking boy has a sleek black short smooth coat, a long tail, and a beautiful face with dark brown eyes, a chubby muzzle, a black button nose, and short floppy ears.
Vader has a sweet, outgoing personality and a super friendly disposition.
Vader hadn't yet stepped on our scales when these photos were taken shortly after his arrival, but he likely weighs 50 lbs or so. Vader was quite the gentleman and gazed at the camera lens like a 'pro' .. Then settled down for a nice afternoon nap on the soft blankets in the Receiving Room kennel.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Vance was held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that his family would have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership.
Surprisingly, nobody has called or came looking for Vader as of March 15th 2026.
