Pit Bull Terrier Dogs Available for Adoption

Pearl is an adorable young female Pit Bull Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on February 11, 2026 by a Good Samaritan who found her on State Route 60 in Lowell Ohio by the elementary school building. Pearl was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped.

This little sweetheart has a charcoal gray coat with a patch of white on her chest, white paws, a long tail, and a beautiful face with hopeful innocent eyes, a blue/gray nose, a chubby muzzle, and large semi-erect ears.

Pearl has the sweetest disposition. She has melted many hearts already with her quiet, easygoing personality and the way that she politely begged for attention with her soulful eyes. Surely someone has loved Pearl (and vice versa) in her young life.

These photos were taken on February 12th while Pearl was snuggled up on soft blankets in her temporary kennel in the Receiving Area of our shelter. We attempted to take updated photos in an outside kennel on Valentine's Day but, true to her affectionate personality, Pearl always wanted to be as close as possible to the side of the kennel where our photograph was trying to take her pictures (so Pearl enjoyed attention instead of new pictures) (Smile).

Pearl had not yet stepped onto our shelter scales on February 12th but she likely weighs around 50 lbs.

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Pearl was held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that her family would have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership.

Surprisingly nobody called or came looking for this little dollbaby.
