Hi there! I’m Hermit — a 11-month-old, 40 lb neutered male Pit mix with a heart full of love and a whole lot of personality!

I’m the kind of pup who instantly brightens every room I walk into. I absolutely adore people of all ages (especially kids!) and love making new friends wherever I go. I’m super playful and get along great with other dogs — I’d be happiest in a home with a doggie sibling or two to romp around with! I’ve even done well with cats after slow introductions.

I’m a medium energy, happy-go-lucky guy who would thrive in an a home that enjoys walks, playtime, and adventures. My favorite treat in the world? A frozen stuffed Kong — it’s the best thing ever! After a good play session, I’m all about snuggling up for some cozy downtime with my people.

I’m potty trained, crate trained, and doing really well with my leash training. I am also doing wonderfully with commands and working on “place”, “sit”, “stay” and “heel”! I’m still a young guy, so consistency and patience will help me keep shining.

*Disclaimer: Hermit is currently located in Texas and can be adopted either locally or out of state. We coordinate everything with our ground transport teams to ensure they arrive to the adopter safely and we keep the adopter in the loop every step of the way. Transport costs are included in the adoption fees. We also have our fosters video chat with potential adopters prior to adoption so that the adopter gets to see the animals and ensure it’s a fit. We allow adoption fees to be paid via goods and services if desired to give our adopters extra security and protection.
