But with patience, treats, and gentle handling, Royce has slowly started showing staff the thoughtful, cautious, and quietly sweet dog underneath all that fear. During recent evaluations, she approached with soft wags, walked easily on leash, greeted new people politely, and gently accepted treats from staff while exploring the room at her own pace. She even showed a playful side by chasing toys around with loose, happy body language.

Royce seems to be the kind of dog who will thrive with slow introductions, calm guidance, and people willing to let her build confidence at her own speed.
